The Kiwanis Club of East York is part of a Worldwide Organization - Kiwanis International. Collectively we are dedicated to helping improve the quality of life for children around the world. Kiwanis aims to help empower communities to make lasting and tangible differences in the lives of children and families by nurturing their growth and providing ground level support to help communities thrive.

To Do This We Need Your Help

The Kiwanis Club of East York is focused on many areas within the community. We are endeavoring to support 4 local Food Banks, raise funds for Michael Garron Hospital and to provide scholarships to Key Club graduates at our 2 sponsored high schools A Y Jackson and Marc Garneau.

Our greatest challenge is raising enough funds to support these initiatives properly. Since we are a non- profit organization, every dollar we raise goes directly to these areas of help. Our Kiwanis members donate their time and energies to make good things happen.

We are asking for your support in our on-going efforts to meet the growing challenges of our food banks. The number of families that need to visit them has nearly tripled every week. At the Hospital we are trying to set up a program to help Special Needs young adults become more independent by learning to cook proper healthy meals for themselves. Hopefully we will have a start date in the New Year. As the cost of schooling rises, each year we give out scholarships to up to 15 graduating students to help defray their costs as they further their education.

Our Fall-2023/Winter 2024 Campaign Objective: $25,000.00
