A little Video History of the Seton Woods Stewardship Project
In 1999, The Tiger Patrol Scouts @ the 132nd Scouts wanted to achieve their World Conservation Badge and laid out several issues that they wanted to address in the project.
The Tiger Patrol (for their World Conservation Badge) presented the idea of a "Seton Wood" stewardship project. The simple idea was that the scouts, as they moved through the sections, would be able to more deeply appreciate their efforts if they could see a greater degree of success over an extended period of time.
They promoted the idea to the scout section with this video. Have a look and have some fun watching these 2 scouts in action.
This project started with the 132nd Scouts in 1999 and has run every year since with the enthusiastic support of several Scout groups in the area and over the past 15 years the Kiwanis Key Clubs from across the Toronto area. Two (2) of these participating Key Clubs are; the Marc Garneau Collegiate & AY Jackson Secondary School.
